Historic House
Union Bridge Area
This job was all about restoring the beauty of the original walls and ceilings with a “white washed” finish.
The original section of the house dates to the 1700’s, and contains the kitchen on the first floor, and a bedroom on the second floor.  The main part of the house was built at a later date with the same type of exterior field stone.  The challenge for us as plasterers was appreciable because of the very deteriorated condition of the wood lath and plaster.
The final look of the plaster was an original looking “white washed” finish, and was quite pleasing to the eye, as well as durable.
We revisited this job after 15 years, and it is still looking great!
